Mykonos encore

Wednesday was a pretty ugly day. It didn't rain too much, but it was very windy and cloudy. We basically spent the day in town eating and shopping :) we kept getting free things as well! First, we got water for free at this cute little Sweedish Cafe. Also, they charged us less for our strawberry nutella crepes. Great! We walked past one restaurant and the man told me I had the most beautiful smile he had ever seen and he wanted a drink with me that night...YEAH RIGHT!

Then, we went for lunch at Taverna Nikos and after eating a spinach pie, they brought us out a shot of mastic, which is some special greek liquor. He told us he was sorry he didn't have tequila and we were pretty confused until we remembered having a conversation about liking tequila...he must have overheard! We walked around a bit more and stopped for some coffee and frozen yogurt. Then, what did we know, it was time for dinner! We ate at a little place right by the water and our waiter was quite interesting. We split grilled chicken and fried calamari and it came with a salad and a drink. Once again, the waiter overheard us talking about the honey balls dessert and brought us some on the house after dinner. Dad, the waiters love us! What was your problem!? :p. The weird part was when we were leaving he kept grabbing our hands and leaned in for a kiss. Needless to say, we ran away.

We walked around a bit more and guess who found us!? That kid who thought I had a nice smile. Yup! His name was George and he said he felt like he's known me for years...uh no! But he said to come find him at 10 where he worked. Another YEAH right...but we did have these free shot coupons for a bar called Down Under. So we waited until it opened around 8:45. Since we didn't want to walk in right away, we stood around the corner for a few minutes. Then, these 3 young guys asked if we wanted a free shot and Danielle knew they were bringing us to that bar. So we got that free shot, ordered a drink, and basically got free drinks for the rest of the night! Fine by me! ;) The owner referred to me as "Jersey" when he found out I was from NJ. We also met this guy who was a private chef and used to be the Kardasian's chef. Now, he is Armani's chef. Crazy! I got his business card if anyone needs the number!

Another funny thing...we were about to leave and George, the one who likes my smile, walks in the bar! Oops..luckily he left quickly and we took a taxi back to our resort.

Yesterday morning was BEAUTIFUL again! We had breakfast on the beach and then laid out all day! It was great. Our friends from the bar (the bouncer, owner, and one other kid) were at the beach too! We are basically famous in Mykonos now. We go everywhere in town and everyone says hi! It's pretty funny. We rented the ATV again and Danielle drove us into town for some 2.50euro gyros :) wooot! We took a walk around and took pictures all over as well. We started walking down this small alley way to find a cool church we wanted pictures by and this old man came out of this house asking where we were going. We thought we did something wrong, but found out he was quite friendly, a doctor, and wanted to show us how to get to the church since it was confusing. He gave us his business card and a card for a restaurant where we could eat cheaply if we mentioned his name. I think everyone is bored in the off season of Mykonos! So friendly, though! We got our pictures and we stopped for a cappuccino at a sunset view bar. It was so chilly out so we decided to sit inside until the sun was setting. We got really nice photos! Overall, a great time.

Unfortunately for us, EVERYONE here smokes. And INSIDE restaurants, bars, stores...everywhere!!! It's worse than France :(
Also, there are TONS of cats everywhere! They all seem angry, too. And last but not least are the two Mykonos pelicans! They are almost as tall as me and walk around the town all day and all night.  Some girl was screaming that she almost got bitten by it. AH!

Nothing else to report! Here's to our last day!
