See a movie star in Paris...CHECK!
Today I got to see Jude Law! He was here for the movie premiere of Sherlock Holmes at the REX cinema close to our school. I unfortunately didn't get to see the premiere of the movie, but it was very cool to wait outside to see him! I am pretty sure this cinema has the largest screens in the world, as well. I didn't get any good pictures (I'm way too short), but I did see him super clear and upclose!
Nothing else too interesting happened today. We did stop at les galeries Lafayette! It was so overwhelming. May have been the biggest mall/store I have ever seen! Hopefully, we'll have more time one day to go back and explore!
It was a little rainy today, but it was so warm out. Rain is predicted a lot over the next week, but hopefully that will change! It's going to be a long commute in the rain...
I had a good dinner last night with my host family. We had avocado with oil, vinegar, salt and pepper for an appetizer and then had rice and some sort of meat dish! It was really good. And of course, had to eat the delicious kit kat bar for dessert! I will be bringing a few bags home with me. Just something about the chocolate here...
There were a lot of interesting characters on the metro preaching/begging for money today. I was a little bit uncomfortable, but just pretended nothing was happening. Luckily when I took the metro home late tonight, it was crowded and I felt very safe. And even when I got off my stop at about 11:20pm, the streets still smelled like a bakery. Delicious!
